Global Education

The Global Education Project is based on a successful model developed by the Xaverians in Italy. The Centro Educazione Mondialità (CEM) in Brescia has its roots in the Mondialità Movement, founded by the Xaverians in 1942.

The principles of the Mondialità Movement are:
  • Development of intercultural values and skills;
  • Promotion of inter-religious sharing and dialogue
  • Acceptance of diversity;
  • Encouragement of responsible global citizenship;

CEM’s purpose was to design an educational project that would awaken in young people the consciousness of being Global citizens and to provide them with attitudes of openness to peoples of diverse cultures and backgrounds and to offer opportunities for acquiring intercultural relationship skills.
